【主讲人简介】：
Professor Wang has nearly three decades of extensive experience in academic research, technological development, and corporate management. He previously taught at the University of Rochester,and has worked at various technology companies ranging from startups to established firms like IBM. Starting his career in technical roles, he served as a corporate programmer, technical lead, and architect before transitioning into management and eventually focusing on business development. As Director of Operations at ClickCommerce, Merge Healthcare, and Requisite Technology, Professor Wang oversaw corporate operations and supervised business development, product management, channel management, intellectual property management, professional services, supplier relations (including offshore outsourcing in India and China), engineering management, and M&A activities across markets in the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, Japan, and China.
Later, he founded Poetica LLC, an international business consulting firm specializing in market analysis, market entry, and partnership management in the U.S. and China.
Professor Wang is passionate about education. He has served as an adjunct professor at the College of Business, Colorado State University, and was a member of the Executive Advisory Board for the Executive MBA Program at Colorado State University–Denver. He also served on the advisory boards of the Center for Asian Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder and the Colorado China Council. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Business School at the Sino-British College, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
Professor Wang holds a bachelor’s degree from Peking University, a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester, and an EMBA from Colorado State University. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society. He has published research papers in top-tier academic journals and is a co-inventor of four U.S. patents. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board of Capital Transactions, a publication by the China Mergers & Acquisitions Association. Professor Wang is also a frequent invited speaker at various forums, where he shares insights on the development of Chinese enterprises.
Beyond his professional achievements, Professor Wang previously worked as a professional translator for Ianguage Intelligence, where he translated numerous literary works into Chinese—including approximately 1,000 poems by Emily Dickinson.
